Hello there!
I'm Tess, and I call Frankfurt home, where I reside with my wonderful husband. Ever since I was a child, the annual family vacation was the highlight of the year. But as I grew older, I discovered the world of solo travel, which left an indelible mark on me. Since my youth, I've been seizing every opportunity to spend time abroad, whether it's through studying, volunteering, or internships. Nowadays I spent most of my holidays together with my husband discovering fascinating cultures and landscapes.
Allow me to introduce you to my little corner of the internet, VoyageWhispers. This blog emerged from my two greatest passions: travel and planning.

Whispers
- My obsession of planning and optimizing -

Not everyone shares my love for planning and optimizing trips (I can totally understand that), but for me, it's an integral part of the anticipation for the next adventure. When I research travel destinations and their (secret) highlights on social media and blogs, I always find many beautiful photos and recommendations. However, I have to research where exactly these gems are located, how I can combine them in one route, whether they're worth it, and so on. And that's exactly what I want to change with VoyageWhispers.
In addition to classic recommendations here on my blog, you will find Google my Maps with pins and travel routes that show you the best restaurants, accommodations, must-sees, and more while planning your trip and even when you're on the go.
​Last but not least, I'm excited to share my Strategies with you on how to elevate your travel experiences, making them more comfortable and luxurious. With these strategies, you get points and miles back for your daily expenses such as rent, purchases, etc., which you can then convert into flights or hotel stays. This saves me hundreds of euros every year. Feel free to take the Test to find out how many points/miles you can realistically collect in the next 12 months using my strategies.

Since my youth, I've been seizing every opportunity to spend time abroad, whether it's through holidays, studying or volunteering. This wanderlust was instilled in me from the very beginning, growing up in a working-class family where traveling to distant countries and vacations were cherished highlights. As an absolute sun seeker, I relish escaping the cold German winters to explore new cultures and savor exotic cuisines. Even if Asian food isn't my favorite, there's hardly anything I won't try!
My journey into the world of travel started at the age of 16 when I began saving for my first solo adventure in South Africa. Three years later, the moment I had been eagerly anticipating finally arrived, and I spent the best time of my life in this wonderful and diverse country. From that point on, my heart belonged not only to my husband (of course! 😄) but also to the world. I've strived to seize every opportunity to travel to distant lands, and even today, there's rarely a vacation day that my husband and I do not spend abroad.
Balancing our globetrotting pursuits with full-time careers and the limited vacation days we all know too well, I've honed the art of making every moment abroad count. This is where my second passion, planning and organization, comes into play.
