1. Table Mountain Hike: Experience Cape Town's peaks

The Table Mountain hike is undoubtedly a highlight of your Cape Town trip. Towering 1,086 meters above the city, this majestic natural wonder offers breathtaking views that will enchant your senses. A hike takes about 3-4 hours but the view from Table Mountain is breathtaking. You can see Cape Town from a unique perspective, overlooking the ocean, the city and the surrounding mountains. The flora and fauna are unique, with fascinating plants and sometimes even wild animals.


Admission: Admission to Table Mountain National Park is free. However, fees may apply for using the cable car if you want to make the ascent easier. Adult round trip around R340 (about 17EUR / US$18), one way around R220 (about 11EUR / US$12).

- Hiking Routes: There are several hiking trails up Table Mountain, including the popular Platteklip Gorge Trail and the Pipe Track. Research in advance which path suits your hiking level, because the climb can be really exhausting, especially in the midday heat!

- Leave early: Start early in the morning to escape the crowds and see the sunrise from above.Sunscreen: The sun can be strong, so wear sunscreen and plenty of water.




2. Lions Head: Climb to Lions Head

Summer months (October - March): 6am - 6pm Winter months (April - September): 7am - 5pm - during the winter months the cable car only runs from Thursday to Sunday

It is important to note that you should leave the park by sunset, otherwise there will be a fine.

- Wild Baboons: Watch out for the curious Cape Baboons, but keep your distance and don't feed them.

- Hiking: Take the opportunity to explore some of the hiking trails in the national park, such as the Cape of Good Hope Trail.
